Pleated Jeans Survey
Flat fronts vs. Pleated Trousers
In mens fashion, not so many options are available to polish up ones wardrobe. So in order to outline ones sense of style, one simply has to concentrate on either of two things : his shirt and his pants. The shirt department boasts of different styles and cuts leaving any guy different options to choose from. Nevertheless in the pants dept, one is left with any of two selections : flat fronts or pleated trousers. Which one then is the best option? Does one choice lead to a better fashion statement as compared to the other?
Why pleats?
Conventional towers are usually made to fit along the waist area. This, naturally, is the littlest part of the shoulders and chest, so bottoms are generally made to sit there to put accent on that body part. Since pants sitting from the natural waist often must flare a bit so as to accommodate the hips, pleats are then needed to house the slight increase in width. Pleats make allowances for an elegant enlargement of the trousers as they drape downwards through the whole length of the lower body.
For men with bigger builds, pleated fronts fit far better owing to the incontrovertible fact that they could have bigger waists that may be disguised thru the use of pleats. Some men really like pleated fronts as due to added comfort and the incontrovertible fact that the pockets in the trousers of pleated pants have a tendency to accommodate more things.
Flat-fronts
Newer trousers coming out in the market nowadays have a tendency to be low-rise, meaning that they generally tend to sit below the gut. Rather, more recent styles make allowances for the trousers to sit along the hips instead. If pleats were to be utilised for these sorts of styles, it might only boost the width of the hips making the individual look quite big. Furthermore, reinforcing the area would make someone look more squat than slender.
If pleats help to conceal the unwished-for bulges in a mans build, so will flat fronts reinforce the figure of men with slim physiques. Flat fronts also have the bias to hug round the leg area more than pleated fronts which can only lead to more emphasis on the slim build of the person.
A matter of style
Besides choosing a fashion that fits, one should also consider the image that he wants to project. Business-like attires usually go for the classic look, thus the pleats. Pleated pants also have a tendency to give a more assertive and formal aura as compared to flat fronts. Also keep in mind that well-fitting pants have a tendency to cling less to the body. The fabric should not be made to cling to the inner portion of the legs so take care that you check the fit from different angles. As a rule, pants should always create the semblance of length as well as a slim physique.
Whether terraces or pleated, it all comes down to what you suspect fits. In is only in this manner wherein one can build confidence in his dressing style.
